Peterbrooke Chocolatier, the Florida-based confectioner transforming the art of fine European chocolate and gelato into a truly American experience, is kicking off one of its favorite months of the year – National Ice Cream Month – by offering guests a free scoop of any of its handcrafted, premium, Italian-styled gelato all day long, every Wednesday in July at its Tallahassee shop, 1817 Thomasville Road.
This special offer begins July 3, and is available each Wednesday throughout July at participating locations.
“It’s no surprise that National Ice Cream Month is one of our favorite months of the year and we can’t think of a better way to celebrate than to treat our guests to a free scoop of any gelato every Wednesday in July,” said Elizabeth Rice, Peterbrooke marketing manager. “Chocolate is in our name, but we’re serious about our gelato. In fact, the key to our authentic gelato is its freshness and the absence of chemicals or artificial flavors. We make our gelato every day, which provides us with the unique ability to serve our guests an authentic, premium product with the look, texture and taste of the best gelato you would find anywhere in Italy.”
The Tallahassee Peterbrooke offers between 12-18 flavors of authentic gelato every day including strawberry chocolate chunk, banana caramel praline, Tahitian vanilla, chocolate decadence, mango, white chocolate raspberry and many more.
This year, three new flavors are being added to the Gelato July promotional mix at participating shops including coffee toffee, strawberry lemonade sorbetto, and sunburst, which is a mix of orange, pineapple, mango and strawberry.
Gelato July promotions are available only in a cup, but guests can also order waffle cones and milkshakes, where available, off the regular menu and cap them off with a wide variety of toppings. All of Peterbrooke’s gelato is certified OU Kosher and so are many of its chocolates as well.
“We wanted to share our excitement for National Ice Cream Month with our guests the best way we know how – by providing them with an absolutely free scoop of our amazing gelato throughout July,” said Rice. “We’re passionate about our gelato and we welcome everyone to stop in to Peterbrooke and enjoy a special, premium frozen treat with friends and family on us!”
Peterbrooke’s traditional favorites such as decadent truffles, hand-made caramels and authentic Italian gelato indulge even the most discerning guests while specialties such as chocolate covered popcorn, cookies, pretzels, scratch-made marshmallows, potato chips, and strawberries are hand-dipped daily with Peterbrooke’s own proprietary blend of milk, dark and white chocolate.
Supporting the neighborhood feel, each Peterbrooke shop offers its own unique take on team-building classes, summer day camps for children, private parties, catering and corporate gifts.
All Peterbrooke shops are UTZ certified, which ensures the global sustainable farming of cacao while providing farmers with better opportunities for growth and profitability. The UTZ program allows Peterbrooke’s cacao farmers to learn more environmentally friendly growing methods that increase crop yields while improving working conditions and simultaneously safeguarding our planet. Peterbrooke was one of the earliest adopters of the UTZ certification in the United States and is a proud part of the sustainability program that involves all aspects of the chocolate supply chain.
